  • Certify the compliance of project start-up documents
  • Ensure accurate and complete data entry in project files
  • Assist with workforce placement according to project needs
  • Ensure file compliance for administrative services
  • Keep project schedules up to date

Main tasks:

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, laws, and regulations
  • Support foremen and project teams by acting as a resource person for OHS matters
  • Advise foremen and management to improve the company’s OHS performance
  • Inspect work sites and workplaces, document non-compliances, follow up on corrective actions, and raise awareness among workers and subcontractors
  • Ensure the application of the prevention program, company policies, and current laws and regulations in the construction industry
  • Prepare work methods as requested by clients
  • Continuously update the prevention program based on project sites, new regulations, work methods, equipment, etc.
  • Organize and coordinate training sessions according to expiration dates
  • Ensure the updating and follow-up of annual inspections of safety equipment
  • Frequent travel to construction sites (mainly in the Estrie and Montreal regions)

Profile required:

  • ASP Construction certification
  • Experience on construction sites
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (an asset)
  • In-depth understanding of current laws and regulations
  • Thoroughness, autonomy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to train, communicate, and enforce rules
  • Proficiency in French (English is an asset)
